9 am: You’re on vacation… Sleep in! Stretch out in one of our comfy rooms at Adrift Hotel. All our rooms are pet friendly and uniquely designed, each including a flat screen TV, eco-friendly bath products, and mini fridges.
9:30 am: When you’re good and ready, order breakfast in bed from [pickled fish] restaurant. Whether you lean savory like a smoked pork Benedict or sweet, like our local french toast, it’ll be extra delicious from the comfort of your bed.
11:00 am: Check out a bike from the front desk and get pedaling down the 8.5 mile long Discovery Trail that runs through the dunes along the beach.
12 pm: Once you’re all pedaled out, hop in your car and head to Cape Disappointment State Park. Explore numerous hiking trails, watch surfers at Waikiki Beach, and visit two idyllic light houses. You could spend your entire vacation visiting Cape Disappointment (and we won’t judge you if you do)!
2:00 pm: Head down from the state park to the Port of Ilwaco and stroll along the waterfront. Don’t miss Time Enough Books and grab a late lunch or brew from Salt Pub and watch the fishing boats unload their daily catch. If you’re a history buff, or just want to learn more about the place you’re visiting, definitely head to the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum.
5:00 pm: Head back to Adrift for a pre-dinner dip in our heated saline pool and get your steam on in the barrel sauna.
7:00 pm: Head up to the fourth floor to [pickled fish] restaurant to watch the sunset over the ocean and sip cocktails while you wait for the perfect dinner to cap off a perfect day. Reservations required for parties of 6+.
DAY 2
8:00 am: Head to downtown Long Beach, just a 15 minute walk from Adrift, and swing into the classic Dylan’s Cottage Bakery for an apple fritter or maple bar and mug of hot coffee.
9:00 am: Hop in your car afterwards, and head North to experience the quieter tip of the Peninsula. Explore historic Oysterville and its beautiful church. Walk along the bay front and swing into Oysterville Sea Farms for a bag of oysters picked straight from Willapa Bay.
