WHO WE ARE

WE’RE PROUD OF WHAT WE STAND FOR

At Adrift, we create meaningful hospitality experiences by prioritizing community, sustainability, growth, fun, and inclusion.

OUR VALUES

At Adrift, our values – community, sustainability, growth, fun, and inclusion – guide us in enriching lives through meaningful hospitality experiences, supporting our employees, and positively impacting the places we call home. Providing great hospitality means we’re proud of what we do, and our pride starts with our values.

We started as a single boutique hotel in 2004 and have since grown to include seven coastal hotels and restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. We prioritize community, sustainability, and fair employment practices. Our success is measured by our commitment to our triple bottom line, that’s why we’re a Social Purpose Corporation and a certified B Corporation.

WHAT WE BELIEVE IN

Community | We’re proud of and love the communities we’ve chosen to call home, to create community spaces, and to be actively engaged in the health and heartbeat of the places we inhabit.

Sustainability | We build things that last and make decisions to create a positive lasting impact for our employees, for our community, and our planet.

Growth | We foster personal and professional growth, and through our business, we help grow the communities we are in. We believe that we can always get better at what we are doing.

Fun | Yep, fun is one of our values! We encourage spirited connection and enjoy celebrating meaningful and challenging work without taking ourselves too seriously.

Inclusion Statement at Adrift Hospitality

FOR GUESTS AND STAFF ALIKE

We commit to fostering a business that feels safe and inclusive to all staff, guests and community members- regardless of race, skin color, language/s spoken, religion, national origin, ability (including mental ability), gender identity, sexual orientation or marital status.

We leverage our presence in the community to celebrate diversity and cultivate inclusivity. We will not tolerate discriminatory, biased or harassing behavior from staff, guests or our community partners.

We acknowledge creating inclusive spaces takes an ongoing commitment to learning about and practicing anti-racism and other skills related to inclusivity.

We accept and encourage feedback from our community on how to do better at this work.

WE’RE BOTH A SOCIAL PURPOSE CORPORATION AND A CERTIFIED B CORPORATION

WHY WE’RE AN SPC

In 2018, we became a Social Purpose Corporation, a type of for-profit corporation that legally enables us to place social and environmental considerations at the same level as fiscal decisions. Becoming a Social Purpose Corporation allows us to pursue a true triple bottom line, for people, planet, and profit.

WHY WE’RE A B-CORP

B corps™ are people using business as a force for good. Certified B Corporations® meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Certified B corporations® are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

We decided to go through the process of becoming a benefit corporation for three reasons:

Accountability | We wanted to be accountable for the work we’re doing. We can trust that our efforts make a real difference, as they’ve been measured by an impartial, external certification body.
Community | We wanted to join a community of over 2000 businesses, in 65 countries across the world, who share the same values as we do. Sharing our successes and learning from others is incredibly valuable to us.
Transparency | As we continue to grow and expand our business, we want to do so with radical transparency. Certification as a B-corp gives us transparency and an objective measure of our efforts.
