#AdriftCareers Case Study: Allyx O’Connor

In our latest installment in the #AdriftCareers series, please meet Allyx O’Connor, our VP of Oregon Operations and Corporate Beverage (what a mouthful!) Though she’s not a new face, she is a friendly face seen all around our Oregon properties – Ashore Hotel in Seaside, OR and Bowline Hotel in Astoria, OR.

Allyx started with Adrift Hospitality almost ten years ago running front of house at the Pickled Fish restaurant at the Adrift Hotel + Spa, in Long Beach, WA. After a few years away, Allyx came back to run the Ashore Hotel front desk, and was quickly promoted to Food and Beverage Director. In this role she had the opportunity to seek out partners with complimentary values and build relationships with local businesses.

A natural at creating comfortable and seamless spaces, Allyx studied hospitality at WSU and has been honing those skills for 20 years. Allyx stretched herself in designing and planning the bar at our newest property at Bowline Hotel which opened in 2021. At Adrift, Allyx has continued to grow and build a wealth of knowledge across many facets of this industry.

When she’s not managing a bunch of operations, crushing logistics, or dreaming up new cocktails, Allyx is a self-described homebody that spends most of her time outside of work at home with her husband and pups.
