Catching up with the Pickled Fish

We have some exciting updates and additions to tell you about up at Pickled Fish, our top floor, ocean front restaurant at Adrift Hotel + Spa in Long Beach, WA. From new equipment, new staff, and menu updates, there’s been a lot going on!

 

Current hours and menus:

Breakfast menu available Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 8am-12noon
Happy Hour menu available Monday – Friday 3-5pm
Lunch and Dinner menu available every day 12pm-close
Room service available for Adrift Hotel and Inn at Discovery Coast guests during these business hours. 

Meet our new team members:

Executive Chef: Casey Venus

Casey has over 20 years of restaurant industry experience under his belt, but really learned to cook 9 years ago in the kitchen at Pickled Fish under Chef Johnny Besch. He’s excited to return to that same kitchen in the role of Executive Chef. He is committed to sourcing the best local produce and ingredients to serve in the restaurant and is pumped to feature them in creative ways. Casey’s favorite dish on the menu right now? Steak Diane. He lives in Seaview, is an avid golfer and fisherman, is an active member at Pacific Bible Church, and has a lovely wife and two beautiful children.

General Manager: Kyle Hurst

Kyle’s first job was washing dishes at 15 years old, and he continued working in restaurants up through college at Oregon State. After earning his degree and working 11 years as a Marine Biologist, he returned to his first passion, restaurants. Since then, he’s worked as a Sous Chef in Denver and opened his own German Restaurant in Connecticut. Kyle joined the Adrift Hospitality team in May 2023 as the General Manager of Pickled Fish.

This spring we made improvements to our HVAC system to keep everyone cool this summer.

Meanwhile, downstairs…

There’s an addition to the Adrift Hotel lobby – a NEW coffee lobby bar! We’ve got a wide selection of espresso drinks, sweet treats, savory bites, and grab-n-go options. Our baked goods are crafted by Chef Alexandra Jones at the Shelburne Hotel bakery. We’re serving organic espresso from Columbia River Coffee Roasters and all organic milks and syrups. Go ahead and linger in the lobby or get something to-go and get out and play!
