Beck has been in the hospitality industry for 18 years, but this was not exactly her original plan. With two BAs in psychology and criminal justice from Penn State University, she began her career in law enforcement before deciding to give farming a try. Upon moving to Long Beach for a farming job in 2012, Beck started slinging drinks behind the Pickled Fish bar. From there, she became manager, then director, and then developed the HR department for Adrift Hospitality. Beck then grew into the COO role, all the while studying for her MBA with a focus on sustainability and social justice from Presidio Graduate School. Beck loves working with people and hopes to inspire others to grow into their own passions and roles as leaders. Beck and her partner live in Long Beach, and when she’s not working you can find her tending to her hundreds of houseplants, enjoying outdoor adventures with her two dogs, doting on her three chickens, snowboarding, or hanging out with friends.
Hometown: Troy, PA
Fun fact: Beck has a side business growing microgreens, selling potted house plants, and rehabbing plants that need some extra TLC.
