Enjoy Spring with the family

Venture Outside with the Family!

Can you feel that? Spring is just around the corner! We’ve been enjoying surprise sunny days on the beach but it’s still been mostly storm-watching season. But now you can tell Winter is on the way out. We wanted to remind you of all the fun stuff to do outside with the family. Go play!

Enjoy the water!

A place called Long Beach should be the ideal place to start surfing. Want to skate on the water? Learn electric hydrofoil surfing with Skookum Surf Company. Group and private lessons are available, and you can book online. Skookum would like you to know you can learn to surf pretty quick even without prior experience.

Staying at Ashore Hotel? Lucky you! Check out Cleanline and Seaside Surf Shop for your surfing gear. If you’re looking for a lesson to get in the water, go with Oregon Surf Adventures, and their certified instructors who know the rugged natural landscape of the Oregon Coast like no other.

Play in the Sand!

It’s called Long Beach for a reason. To explore all of it, you better get on horseback. Guided horse rides are available right around the corner from your Adrift Hospitality property at West Coast Horse Rides.

The Long Beach Peninsula is home to a wildlife refuge, Audobon bird areas, and countless whalewatching spots year round. The viewing platforms in and around the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and North Head Lighthouse offer the best viewing. Don’t forget your binoculars!

Venture out a little further to Cape Disappointment to watch the waves at Waikiki Beach. Those bring in plenty of driftwood with every storm. No surprise then that Waikiki Beach is a popular spot for families to build a fort together.

Take off in Seaside!

The Oregon Coast is so stunningly beautiful, you’ll want to see it from above. Take off with Seaside Helicopters for amazing sunset views and discover the ocean in ways you’ve never seen before.

Keep your balance at High Life Adventure Park! This aerial challenge course is fun for the whole family. Open to all ages and experience levels, you can keep it simple or go for the exciting free-fall experience.

Get turned upside down at Seaside Inverted – stage the perfect vacation photo. Professional photographers take your picture in a  variety of eight uniquely themed scenes. You can take home a souvenir print along with all digital copies to share online with family and friends.
