Museum Month 

Pacific County museums

May 1-31, 2024

11 museums in Pacific County are coming together to celebrate Museum Month. Each noteworthy museum will welcome guests to experience the deep culture and heritage that is woven through Pacific County firsthand. Museums throughout Raymond, Tokeland, the Long Beach Peninsula, and beyond are excited to present visitors with special offers, from store discounts and special exhibits to studio tours and discounted or complimentary admission.

Columbia River Maritime Museum

Astoria, OR

During this time, the audio volumes in the exhibits will be turned down or completely off and there will be a low sensory self-regulation station available.

Pacific Coast Running Festival 

Long Beach, WA

May 4-5, 2023

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Pacific Coast Running Festival. This event has something for the whole family.  Events include Kids 1/2 mile & 1 mile Dashes, Pedal and Dash, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Bike Tour. Rally your friends & family for an incredible RACE-cation while you explore Long Beach Peninsula!

Seaside Art Walk 

Seaside, OR

First Saturday of the month, 5-7pm

Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.

Ilwaco Saturday Market

Ilwaco, WA

May 6 – September 30, 2023 (10 am – 4 pm)

The Ilwaco Saturday Market is a weekly event held in Long Beach during the summer months. Visitors can browse local vendors selling fresh produce, handmade crafts, and artisanal goods.

Astoria Farmers Market

Astoria, OR

Sundays – May 12-Oct 13, 2024 – from 10am-3pm

Astoria Sunday Market, at the heart of Astoria’s Downtown, combines fresh produce, local arts & crafts, food, music and more in a lively downtown street market atmosphere. The market features up to 200 vendors each week offering locally-made products that have been hand-crafted, grown, created or gathered by the farmers, craftspeople and artisans featured each week. In addition, the Market has a lively food court with regional entertainment making this the gathering place each Sunday for locals and visitors to the region.

Columbia Pacific Farmers Market

Long Beach, WA

June – September | Fridays 12 – 5 PM

The market operates in downtown Long Beach June through September on Friday afternoons / early evenings, 12 pm to 5 pm. At the market, you talk with food purveyors while you purchase your week’s produce, seafood, meat, eggs and dairy, locally-made baked goods, regionally-made packaged foods, flowers and plants, on-site prepared foods, and artisan crafts. You can sit and listen to music or other entertainment, beat your friend at checkers, chat and dance with your neighbor, watch someone cook, or learn about a community non-profit organization.

Astoria Art Walk

Astoria, OR

2nd Saturday of the month, Noon-8 pm

Visit downtown Astoria on the 2nd Saturday of every month for art, entertainment, music, creative outbursts and general merriment!

Summer Festivals + Events

Loyalty Days Parade

Downtown Long Beach, WA

May 5th, 2024 @ 1pm

Initiated in 1950 by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Loyalty Day is a historically rich celebration of patriotism. Since then, Long Beach has hosted the longest consecutive running Loyalty commemoration in the nation.

Long Beach Razor Clam Festival 

Long Beach, WA

May 10 & 11, 2024

A celebration of everything razor clam, from free clam digging lessons & cleaning demos to a chowder taste-off competition. There is also live music, giant European slide, face painting, oyster shucking contest, pirates, Sam the Clam, prize contests, fritter samples, vendors, food trucks and much more!

World’s Longest Garage Sale

Long Beach Peninsula, WA

May 24-27, 2024

World’s Longest Garage Sale is a tradition on the Long Beach Peninsula. Garage sales start in Chinook through Ilwaco, continuing along the peninsula to Seaview, Long Beach, Klipsan Beach, Ocean Park, Oysterville, and stops in between! Start and stop times will vary, so will the days each garage sale is open as everyone picks their days and times, the best thing to do is drive around!

Friday: LCQC Gala at Liberty Theater, 8pm

Saturday: Queer Block Party at the Armory, 11am, Skate Night

Sunday: Queer Maritime History (presented by the Columbia River Maritime Museum) at Lovell Room of Fort George, 2-8pm

Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

Astoria, OR

June 21-23, 2024

This festival celebrates the rich cultural heritage that was transplanted to the Astoria, Oregon region by emigrants from the Nordic lands. During the three days of the festival, over a dozen Nordic musical, dance, and theater groups are scheduled to entertain. Retail booths will offer handcrafts, Nordic import items, and traditional Nordic foods. It is not necessary to be Scandinavian to enjoy this festival.

Sandsations Sandcastle Festival 

Long Beach, WA

July 10-14, 2024

Every summer, the Long Beach Peninsula comes alive with the Sandsations Sandcastle Festival. This five-day event features sandcastle building competitions, live music, and food vendors. The festival draws thousands of visitors each year.

Clamshell Railroad Days

Ilwaco, WA

July 20-21, 2024

Come on down to the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco for our annual celebration of our very own Clamshell Railroad! There will be hand-built model railroads galore, fun activities for the kids, and you can even avail yourself of this once-per-year opportunity to tour the historic railcar Nahcotta. Long Beach Rodeo

July 27-28, 2024

The Long Beach Rodeo is an annual event that celebrates the excitement and tradition of the American West. This thrilling rodeo features a variety of events, including bull riding, barrel racing, and roping, as well as live music and food vendors. Attendees can witness the skill and athleticism of the riders and their horses as they compete for cash prizes and bragging rights.

Seaside Volleyball Tournament

The Seaside Volleyball Tournament is an annual event that draws players and spectators from all over the country to the beautiful shores of Seaside, Oregon. Peninsula Rhythm and Blues Festival

Ocean Park, WA 

August 16-19, 2024

The Peninsula Rhythm & Blues Festival is an annual event in Washington State that brings together talented musicians from across the country for a weekend of music, dancing, and fun. Attendees can enjoy a diverse lineup of blues and rhythm and blues performers, along with food and craft vendors, and more. With its stunning bay views and lively atmosphere, the festival provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend of non-stop entertainment. Whether you’re a die-hard blues fan or simply looking for a fun-filled weekend on the coast, the Peninsula Rhythm & Blues Festival is not to be missed.

Washington State International Kite Festival

Long Beach, WA

Aug 21-27, 2023 

The Washington State International Kite Festival is one of the largest kite festivals in North America. Held annually in August, the festival attracts kite enthusiasts from all over the world. In addition to kite flying competitions, the festival also features food vendors, live music, and arts and crafts vendors.

Rod Run to the End of the World 

Ocean Park, WA

September 7-8, 2024 

Since 1986, the Beach Barons Car Club has hosted a car show for approximately 750 participants to show off their cars to avid attendees at their 30 acre field, the weekend after Labor Day. There are also food, car product and craft vendors plus a Swap Meet on the field.

Northwest Garlic Festival

Ocean Park, WA

September 14-15, 2024

Here’s what you can expect: Artisan and food vendors, live music & entertainment, and of course, GARLIC in all its glory!

Wings Over Willapa Festival

Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, WA

September 20-22, 2024

The Wings Over Willapa Festival is an annual event held in Washington State that celebrates the amazing diversity of birds found along the Willapa Bay. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including guided birding tours, photography workshops, and educational presentations by experts in the field.
