OUTDOOR GALORE
GET OUTSIDE
Manzanita is perfectly situated for coastal exploration. Spend time on the seven-mile stretch of Manzanita Beach for walking, beachcombing, or simply enjoying the sunset.
For hiking, the town is bookended by stunning parks: Neahkahnie Mountain (part of Nehalem Bay State Park) offers challenging trails with panoramic views of the coastline, while Oswald West State Park to the north features the popular Cape Falcon Trail and a short forest walk down to Short Sand Beach, a favorite spot for local surfers.
You can also head to Nehalem Bay State Park for a mix of activities including biking, horseback riding, or kayaking in the calm waters of Nehalem Bay. Be sure to check the tide charts for tide-pooling at spots like Hug Point State Recreation Site.
