Giving Back

Empowering the communities we reside in is our North Star.

We’re proud to source local, because when we lift up the people around us we all thrive. We’re constantly learning and expanding the ways in which we give back, and are so proud to support the communities we call home!

Adrift Hospitality is also committed to helping others give back whenever possible. Are you looking for a donation to help support your cause? Fill out our Donation Request Form below to see what we can do.

COCKTAIL FOR A CAUSE PROGRAM

ORIGIN STORY

In September 2015, the Pickled Fish bar manager Matt Lessnau (now Head Distiller at Adrift Distillers) was also working as a member of the Parks and Rec department for the City of Ilwaco. He wanted to find a way to raise money for a new play structure the city was building, and suggested creating a cocktail special, with 50% of the sale going to help fund the new play structure.

The first cocktail was incredibly popular, and raised $2,145 for the new play structure! This success was the birth of the Cocktail For A Cause program. Every month we select a cause, dream up a new cocktail and offer the drink at our fine drinking establishments all month long. Starting in 2024, we also have included a Mocktail for a Cause every month.

Over the years, through the Cocktail for a Cause program, we’ve supported over 50 different local charities – from Astoria food banks to our local ACLU chapter, to projects tackling youth homelessness on the peninsula – and raised over $120,000 and counting!

THE OG COCKTAIL

Bourbon Renewal – The first cocktail we offered as a Cocktail for a Cause was taken from a modern classic by Jeffrey Morgenthaler, the Bourbon Renewal: 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz creme de cassis, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 1 dash Angostura bitters.

A clear glass filled with a red liquid and ice cubes sits on a wooden surface. The background shows a metallic, textured surface with rust and stains. The drink appears to be a chilled beverage.

OUR LOYALTY PROGRAM

We launched our loyalty program, the Adrift Crew, in 2022 both to recognize and reward our loyal returning guests and to have another reason to give back to our local communities. By booking direct, you can make a direct impact on the locale you’re visiting!

Once you join the loyalty program and increase in rank, a portion of the revenue from each of your stays gets donated to a local non-profit organization. The higher you climb in rank, the more we donate on your behalf! Since we started the program, we have raised over $30,000 for local charities.
