Pulp Western is composed of singer/songwriter Ryan T Jacobs, drummer Sean Moultrie (Cloverdayle), lead guitarist Fred E Stephenson (Britnee Kellogg, Cloverdayle), fiddler Bobby Stover (Slicker) and bassist Jeff Farnand (Haymaker). A band raised under the country stars but yearning for the boom and hustle of loud city barrooms. The band’s sound, inspired by the ever-progressing spirit of country music, combines vintage countrypolitan from Music Row with undercurrents of grit from their disparate outlaw country influences. This can be seen not only in their originals but also in their choice of covers ranging from Merle Haggard or Alan Jackson to Kacey Musgraves and Sturgill Simpson.
