Shop Small On Your Next Coastal Vacation

When it comes to planning a vacation, you usually focus on the big things: how to get there, where to stay, and what to do. Got that figured out? Great! Now you can take a moment to pinpoint ways to support small and sustainable businesses during your travels.

Luckily, we have a list of some of our favorite local purveyors, hailing from Seaside through Long Beach. You may recognize them from our packages and products available for our guests (that’s because we love what they do)! Check out our favorites below.

Coffee

If you’re coming to our neck of the woods, you must know that we love our coffee. With espresso huts lining the roads, finding a great cup of Joe isn’t too far away! If you’re looking for a local coffee roaster, we’ve got three great options below.

Columbia River Coffee Roaster is a local staple, focus on both single origin and blended roasts. They also are proud supporters of the arts scene and local community growth. We use their coffee at all of our Long Beach properties, so when we say it’s good we mean it.

Fun fact: Autumn Hurd, daughter of founder Tim Hurd, is a local artist whose recent work includes our 2022 Pride T-shirts!

Astoria Coffee Company is located in Astoria, OR. A variety of their coffees are available at Bowline Hotel, but they also offer flavored salts, spices, pepper, and great coffee gear, too!

With the company serving coffee to our local community, including at the North Coast Food Web, we are proud to be able to serve their locally roasted goodness.

Sleepy Monk Coffee is located in Cannon Beach, OR, specializing in organic, small-batched roasts with both single origin and international blends. A coastal staple, their variety of dark, medium, espresso, and French roasts bring out unique flavors in their products.

Focused on local development and quality ingredients, Sleepy Monk coffee can be savored at Ashore Hotel.

Tea

Not a fan of coffee? Our region also boasts a variety of purveyors who have crafted local teas and related products.

Beach House Teas is located in Long Beach, and has a variety of options, including infused bath salts, loose-leaf tea, and assorted gift options. Try their products out in our rejuvenation package!
